Coffee morning at Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre

Vitality Villages is a community organisation, based at Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre, focusing on the health and well-being of residents in Herstmonceux and the local communities. The aim is to promote health and well-being in order to create an environment where individuals, families and communities feel informed, empowered, healthier and happier. Established in October 2015 Vitality Villages promotes activities in Herstmonceux Parish and in the Village Halls of the adjoining villages of Bodle Street Green, Boreham Street, Ninfield and Rushlake Green.

We hold monthly coffee mornings and a weekly community choir in The Great Space, Herstmonceux Health Centre, a Men's Shed & Community Workshop at Herstmonceux Castle and offer access to our allotment at Stunts Green. Our walking activities include creating local maps of footpath routes, assist keeping footpaths accessible by improving stiles and gates and hosting an annual sponsored walk.

We also produce the Village Directory which lists local facilities, clubs, societies and businesses and is available from the Village Information Centre and local businesses. For more detail on all these activities click on the tabs in the Vitality Villages Activities section below.

To undertake these activities we are grateful to our supporting organisations, Herstmonceux Integrative Health Centre, Herstmonceux Castle, Wealden District Council, Herstmonceux Parish Council and Action in Rural Sussex.
